Dr. Williamjeet Singh

Dr. Williamjeet Singh is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the world’s second university named after a language i.e. Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab, India. His academic as well as technical qualification includes Ph.D., M.Tech. and B.Tech., all in Computer Science and Engineering domain. He is Merit holder in his M.Tech. He has over 12 years of teaching and research experience. He is the author of many research papers and articles published in journals and conferences of International as well as National repute. He is also working on the techno-social projects and one such project of around 16 lakhs was awarded to him by Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, India. He has guided more than 10 MTech research scholars and four PhD students are working under his guidance. His areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms, Speech Technology, Sign Language and Text Analytics. He mentored the project for BTech students at National level in 42nd All India Student Design Competition by National Design and Research Forum, Bangalore and won Silver Medal. He is member of various technical societies including International Association of Engineers (IAENG), International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), Punjab Science Academy, The Institution of Engineers (IEI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has also delivered Expert Talks in various Conferences, Symposiums and Webinars. His team has recently developed a mobile App named WISL (World of Indian Sign Language) for hearing impaired people. He is an optimistic, energetic and lively person.
